ATTACK 杀 (shā)

Posted by Ricky Chua On 10:31 AM No comments
Description:
Probably the most basic card in the game. As the name implies, the action is simple: ATTACK! Use this card to inflict damage on your opponent. Normal ATTACK (1st picture) has no elemental attributes to it. Plain ol' knuckle busting. FIRE and LIGHTNING ATTACK (2nd and 3rd picture) has the corresponding elements of damage that can cause some mega headaches!

What it does:
In the simplest sense, using this card is equal to taking one stab/slash/chop/whatever-barbaric-attack-you-prefer at your opponent. Yes only ONE. Of course, your opponent can dodge the attack if he has the DODGE 闪 card.

How to use it:
During your action phase, you can use an ATTACK on another player within your attack range. The target player needs to use a DODGE 闪, or else you inflict 1 unit of normal damage (without attribute) to him/her. Note that if you have not equipped a weapon, your attack range is 1. Read more about attack range.

Using ATTACK is limited to once per action phase. Note that elemental attacks such as LIGHTNING ATTACK 雷杀 and FIRE ATTACK 火杀 count as using an ATTACK card as well. This means you can use only one of three ATTACK cards (ATTACK, LIGHTNING ATTACK or FIRE ATTACK) once in your action phase.

There are some scenarios where ATTACK can be used multiple times to cause multiple consecutive damage. Some examples are:

1. When you have equipped the ZHUGE CROSSBOW 诸葛连弩
2. When your character is Zhang Fei 张飞

In these scenarios, you can repeatedly use as many ATTACK cards as you fancy on as many opponents as you wish within your attack range (and thus incur the wrath of everyone. Be warned!).

Chain Reactions:
FIRE and LIGHTNING ATTACKs have the added effect of causing chain reactions when IRON SHACKLES 铁锁链环 is used. When more than 1 player has been shackled together, FIRE or LIGHTNING damage will spread from one of those players damaged to the rest of the players that are shackled. Read more about this in the IRON SHACKLES article.
